The Calm Path Programme
The Calm Path is a 7-week self-help programme designed to support mental wellbeing. It provides practical, evidence-based tools to help individuals better understand and manage anxiety, low mood, panic, stress, and everyday challenges. Each session focuses on building skills to improve emotional resilience, develop healthier thinking patterns, and support wellbeing through lifestyle approaches such as nutrition and physical activity. The programme is structured, supportive, and paced to help participants build confidence and coping strategies week by week.
Week 1 - Anxiety
This session helps you understand anxiety, why it occurs, and introduces practical strategies to manage anxious thoughts and physical symptoms.

Week 2 - Hyperventilating and Panic Attacks
This session explains the body’s panic response and teaches breathing and grounding techniques to reduce hyperventilation and regain control.

Week 3 - Challenging Negative Thinking
This session supports you to identify unhelpful thinking patterns and develop more balanced, compassionate ways of thinking.

Week 4 - Stress Management
This session looks at how stress affects mental and physical wellbeing and introduces practical tools to manage stress more effectively.

Week 5 - Depression
This session explores low mood and depression, focusing on recognising symptoms and building small, manageable steps to improve mood and motivation.

Week 6 - Food, Exercise and Mood
This session explores the link between nutrition and mental wellbeing, highlighting how small dietary changes can support mood and energy levels.

Week 7 - The ABC Model
This session focuses on the ABC Model. The main takeaway from the ABC Model is that while environmental factors can undoubtedly harm our lives, we do have some control over how we react and respond to those factors.
