General Practice Pharmacist
Armagh & Dungannon Federation is seeking Permanent and Temporary General Practice Pharmacists to work within GP practices to deliver direct patient care and optimise the safety and quality of medicines management.
Essential Criteria:
-
Registration with the Pharmaceutical Society of Northern Ireland (PSNI) or eligible for membership.
-
Undergraduate degree in Pharmacy
-
Be willing and committed to undertake the required post-registration Pharmacist Foundation Programme at the earliest opportunity on coming into post.
-
Registered as an Independent Prescriber or be willing and committed to undertake required Independent Prescribing qualification at the appropriate point as determined by Lead General Practice Pharmacist.
-
3 years post-registration experience in pharmacy by end of September 2026
-
In-depth therapeutic and clinical knowledge and understanding of the principles of evidence-based healthcare
-
An appreciation of the nature of primary care prescribing, concepts of rational prescribing and strategies for improving prescribing
-
Experience in use of IT
-
Hold a full current driving licence and/or* have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full. *This relates to any individual who as declared that they have a disability which debars them from driving.

Willingness to travel within locality and Federation group of practices.

Office Administrative Assistant
The Southern GP Federation Support Unit are recruiting for an Office Administrative Assistant. The successful candidate will be contracted for 37.5 hours per week. The post will involve occasional evenings and working until 6.30pm on occasional Tuesdays.
The Office Administrative Assistant will be primarily responsible for high quality routine office and administrative support to more senior staff. The postholder will provide daily support to the Director of Operations, Project Support Manager and assist with the smooth running of the Federations’ Practice Based Learning (PBL) training events.
Essential Criteria:
-
Four GCSE’s (including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (Grades A* - C) or equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR Higher Qualification plus 1 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role OR 2 years’ experience in a clerical/administrative role
-
Excellent IT skills with proven experience in Microsoft Package
-
Proven experience of contributing positively as part of a team and ability to work independently when required
-
Hold a full current driving license and/or have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full. *This relates to any individual who has declared that they have a disability which debars them from driving. And willing to travel within locality of Federation group

Available to work evenings to facilitate board meetings (Maximum 2 per month)
Desirable Criteria:

Human Resources Administrator
Southern GP Federation Support Unit are seeking an enthusiastic and versatile individual to provide dedicated HR admin support to the HR Manager within the Southern GP Federation Support Unit based at the Southern FSU Offices in Carnbane Newry.
The postholder will be responsible for the provision of a comprehensive, flexible, and efficient administrative service within the HR Team and will support Staff and Line Managers within the 3 Federations of the Southern area including General Practice Pharmacists, Nurses and Mental Health Practitioners.
Fixed term contract for 6 months - 22.5 hours - can be done over 3 or 5 days.
Essential Criteria:
-
Five GCSE’s (including GCSE English Language and GCSE Maths (Grades A* - C) OR equivalent qualification to demonstrate literacy and numeracy OR Higher Qualification.

18 months’ HR administrative experience working in a busy office environment responding to enquiries by telephone, email and in person.

Experience of the recruitment process
-
Sound understanding of HR processes
-
Proficient use of Microsoft Package
-
Hold a full current driving licence and/or* have access to a form of transport which will permit the applicant to meet the requirements of the post in full.
